About: Peace Royal International School

Peace Royal International School began with ten kids as a Day Care Centre in October 1998 and has grown to become a model center of excellence among basic schools in the Tarkwa metropolis.

Mrs. Margaret Kumah through thoughtful thinking realized that a lot of young children followed their mothers to the market. She, therefore, went to the market and took such children from their mothers to the daycare so they can have time to sell their wares. With the help of her husband, Pastor Alex Young Kumah, the land was secured to help drive this vision. Starting with only ten children from crèche, the population increased just within two years.

  • Our primary section starts from class one through to class six and the average class size is thirty-two (32).
    The NACCA (National Council for Curriculum Assessment) Standard Based Curriculum for Primary Schools is adopted in teaching.
    Subjects taught at the Lower Primary Level (Class 1 – 3) are: English Language, Mathematics, Natural Science, Ghanaian Language, R.M.E, History, Creative Arts, French and Computing.
    At the Upper Primary Level learning areas are: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Creative Arts, French, R.M.E, Ghanaian Language, History, Computing and Music.
